The current Raw General Manager is also one of the highest paid people to have ever entered a wrestling ring. Kurt Angle may have become famous through WWE, where the theme is sports entertainment and not legitimate sports, but he is no slouch in that regard.

Angle first became famous when he won gold medals for the United States in the Olympics in wrestling with a broken neck. Vince McMahon did not waste any time in signing him, and Angle did not waste any time in making an impact inside the ring either. His impact on wrestling was undeniable and he brought something with him in WWE that added a great deal to each match he was a part of. Every match he took part in almost always became an instant classic, but his rematch with Shawn Michaels remains one of the best matches of all time.

Angle left WWE to have a long run in TNA, now known as Impact Wrestling. He made a mark there and was one of the best things about the promotion. His eventual departure hurt the company, but during his time, his matches with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles remains just some classics.
