In reality, Christian was in no condition to wrestle an actual match, so WWE took a different route. Ric Flair interfered and neutralized him with a low blow right after the bell.
Orton then Punted Christian and pinned him to end the match. As a result, Christian became Orton's latest victim at the time.
During his final run as an in-ring performer, "Captain Charisma" suffered a series of injuries that forced him to retire. He has moved onto his post-wrestling career, but he has remained an active member of the WWE Universe.
