Frustrated by Randy Orton's actions against his friend, Edge during "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever," Christian decided to fight for his pride against "The Viper. This bout came six years after his last wrestling match in 2014.

In reality, Christian was in no condition to wrestle an actual match, so WWE took a different route. Ric Flair interfered and neutralized him with a low blow right after the bell.

Orton then Punted Christian and pinned him to end the match. As a result, Christian became Orton's latest victim at the time.

During his final run as an in-ring performer, "Captain Charisma" suffered a series of injuries that forced him to retire. He has moved onto his post-wrestling career, but he has remained an active member of the WWE Universe.
