#1 Finn Balor to not become Universal Champion anytime soon

Finn Balor's booking is the most unpredictable in the WWE at the moment. First, he wins against AJ Styles at Survivor Series, but then gets buried by Kane. And now, after annihilating Baron Corbin with his 'Demon' avatar, he lost to Roman Reigns. While he didn't seem to be buried by The Big Dog, don't expect him to be in the title scenario anytime soon.

Bryan Alvarez noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon doesn't have grand plans for Finn Balor. Here is the full transcript (H/T: RingsideNews):

“Dave on Observer Radio noted that Vince doesn’t think he’s over enough for a singles match against Brock at Royal Rumble which by the way he didn’t get. So they like Finn Balor, he’s great but I don’t think there’s much of a chance of Finn Balor becoming Universal Champion anytime soon”

For once, it looked like WWE has changed its stance towards Finn Balor. However, Dave Meltzer's remarks assert that things are not going to change soon.
