WWE Superstar Curt Hawkins’ infamous 269-match losing streak came to an end at WrestleMania 35. He, alongside his tag team partner Zack Ryder, won the RAW Tag Team Championships at the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ last year. They were pretty good as a tag team but were never booked strongly enough which played a huge role in keeping them from reaching the top of the tag team division.

Hawkins and Ryder have a great in-ring chemistry which makes for an entertaining spectacle every time they step inside the squared circle. After losing their titles, they mostly worked to put over other talents and faced defeats in rather shorts matches that did little to nothing to boost their position on the main roster.

Both Superstars have been released from the WWE and they could be headed to a rival promotion. If they join AEW, they are most likely going to work as a tag team. It is interesting to note that they won their first title in ten years when defeated The Revival at last year’s WrestleMania. As you may know, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson were released from WWE last month and they are expected to join AEW soon. If all four of these Superstars are once again in the same promotion, there are chances that the AEW creatives will use their history to build a compelling feud that would do justice to all the wrestlers involved.
