The crowd was emotionally invested in the Career vs Title match between Miz & Ziggler from the get-go and it felt like the main event of the show, even if the powers that be in WWE didn’t see it that way.
The two Cleveland natives have great chemistry in the ring and put on another entertaining match with plenty of shenanigans and challenges for Ziggler to overcome. Yet again Maryse’s spray came into play and there was also interference from Dolph’s former Spirit Squad partners.
However, when everybody at ringside was sent to the back by the referee and it was down to just Miz & Ziggler, Dolph was able to get the victory to win the Intercontinental Championship and save his WWE career.
