It has been a long time since Bryan wrestled regularly on Monday Night Raw. He was the hottest Superstar in all of WWE during the peak of the Yes Movement in early 2014. After his sudden retirement the next year, Bryan never actively wrestled on Raw.

The "Planet's Champion" is a fresh gimmick that needs to be exposed to a wider audience on Monday nights. Bryan has shown time and time again that he is capable of battling it out with anyone on the roster. His switch to Raw as a heel would give us a fresh set of matches with a completely different perspective, now that he is a dastardly villain.
Bryan will most likely lose his hemp belt to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, and there couldn't be a better time to make the switch to Raw and grow the heel Bryan character from that point on, than this year's Superstar Shakeup.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
