A long time before Dave Bautista started making millions of dollars playing a big, musclebound lug named Drax, he made millions of dollars playing a big, musclebound lug named Batista.
Batista started his wrestling career relatively late, in his thirties, but that was no impediment to his success. Trained by Dean Malenko specifically to be a main event talent, Batista wound up in the star-studded Evolution stable soon after his debut. It wasn't long before he wore gold, teaming with the Legendary Nature Boy Ric Flair.
Inevitably, as all good things must, Evolution came to an end, and Batista turned on his former leader and mentor Triple H. Batista did a rare thing and bypassed the mid-card completely to become World Heavyweight Champion in just a few short years.
Ever since his rise to movie stardom, fans have warmed up to the idea of a Batista return. Just don't have him beat Daniel Bryan for his spot this time!
