There's no mistaking who WWE's top priority in the entire company has been for the past several years, as that distinction goes solely to Roman Reigns.
Whether you agree or disagree with this decision, WWE's officials have made it clear that it is their priority that Reigns dominates and becomes a legend in the business.
Over the course of his career, he's been able to accomplish considerable feats like retiring The Undertaker, main eventing several WrestleManias, numerous championships, being the sole survivor on his Survivor Series team, winning the Royal Rumble and most recently at No Mercy, pinning John Cena clean.
However, there are still a few records and accolades Reigns has not yet been able to achieve, even though all signs point to him most likely checking these goals off his list.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Keep in mind that these are all within the realm of possibility, as Reigns is assuredly never going to win the NXT Women's Championship or suddenly go back in time to be the one who ends Goldberg's undefeated streak.
In an environment where it seems like there's not much more WWE can do to push Reigns, here are ten more accomplishments he's yet to have to his name, but we could see in the near future.
#1 Win the Universal Championship
This first one isn't a matter of if, nor a matter of when—it's simply a matter of waiting.
Roman Reigns has yet to win the Universal Championship, but that's not the biggest surprise in the world considering the title's infancy.
There have only been four champions in the history of the lineage, with the first being Finn Balor's one day reign, Kevin Owens following him, dropping it to Goldberg who passed it along to the current champion, Brock Lesnar.
The Beast Incarnate will assuredly lose this championship to Reigns come WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, and that will be one more thing down.
#2 Win the Intercontinental Championship
At the moment of this article's composition, Roman Reigns has still yet to win the Intercontinental Championship, but the writing may be on the wall about this seeing as how he has a title shot next week on Monday Night Raw.
The Miz on his own stands no chance against Reigns and it will be up to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel to cause some kind of a distraction or a disqualification in order to have The A-Lister retain.
However, history has shown to bet on Reigns and you'll rarely be wrong, so we could see a new champion crowned in just a few days, meaning Reigns will have won both midcard titles as he's already a former United States champion.
#3 Become King of the Ring
Mostly since it hasn't been readily available for him to take, Reigns hasn't been declared the winner of the King of the Ring tournament.
In a different era, this was the equivalent of winning the Royal Rumble or a midcard title, pushing someone to the next level and helping propel talent like Triple H, Steve Austin, Owen Hart and more.
In more recent years, it only shows up sporadically, with the most recent one being won by Bad News Barrett in 2015.
At this point, if the tournament were to be brought back, it would seem like overkill to have Reigns win it instead of someone who truly needs the rub, but given WWE's track record, it wouldn't be shocking to give this win to him, too.
#4 Several Royal Rumble Records
Reigns is named a few times in the Royal Rumble statistics and trivia, namely for having won the 2015 match and usurping Kane's record of eliminations in a single battle royal in 2014 with 12.
It might not seem like it, but there are still a number of other things Reigns can do with just the Royal Rumble itself.
For instance, he can go the distance from the #1 spot to the end and win, being one of only two people to have done that (the other two being Shawn Michaels in 1995 and Chris Benoit in 2004).
If he does this, Reigns can overtake the record for the longest time in a Royal Rumble once he moves past the 1:02:12 mark from Rey Mysterio in 2006, and even eventually the cumulative total time which currently stands at Chris Jericho's near 5 hour mark.
He can also surpass Kane and Shawn Michaels with over 44 total eliminations to get the record for most Superstars ever tossed out by the same person over the course of multiple matches.
Reigns also can very easily in 2018 be one of only a handful of wrestlers who have won more than a single Royal Rumble, and if he wins it a third time, he'll be tied with Steve Austin for the most wins ever.
#5 Become Mr Money in the Bank
Reigns has a history with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but not in a good way as the picture above suggests.
Rather, Reigns has been the victim of a cash-in twice. The most notable one was at WrestleMania 31 when Seth Rollins interrupted his match with Brock Lesnar and pinned him to win the WWE Championship.
Eventually, Rollins would defeat Reigns for the title again at Money in the Bank 2016, which would be immediately followed by the third member of The Shield, Dean Ambrose, cashing in on Rollins and taking the title.
Reigns is the only member of the trio to not win the briefcase and successfully cash it in to win a world title, so if WWE realizes that is the case—no pun intended—he could be a candidate to win in 2018 just to get that out of the way.
#6 Outlast the Elimination Chamber
If Reigns does not win the Royal Rumble in 2018, it can be surmised, then, that he will win a No. 1 contender's match at either Fastlane or in the Elimination Chamber itself to earn the right to challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
This depends not just on the Royal Rumble outcome, but WWE's preferences as far as determining that challenger, as last year, the Elimination Chamber was not used to declare the champion's opponent, but to have the title on the line.
In any fashion, as challenger or champion at stake, Reigns has yet to enter and survive an Elimination Chamber match as the man who stands tall among five losers he's vanquished.
2018 could be his year, though, so stay tuned come February.
#7 Win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Like the King of the Ring, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is used primarily as a means to give someone a win that doesn't include a title so they can use that opportunity to boost their career.
This also means that Reigns has far surpassed the point of this being useful to him, but it's still an accomplishment he's yet to do, regardless.
His performance at Royal Rumbles in the past proves that he's got the storyline capability of being able to easily win something like this, but he's always been too busy main eventing the card instead.
It's doubtful he'll fall so far down the card that he'll be in this match instead of either fighting for the title or wrestling in some other high-profile feud, so this is one of the few things you can probably count on him not having on his resume by the time his career is over.
#8 Be on the Main Cover of a WWE 2K Game
Since the WWE video game franchising has been with 2K Sports, a big deal has been made every year about which Superstar will be the front man for that edition.
In the past, we've seen versions dedicated to Randy Orton, CM Punk, The Rock, John Cena, Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, along with other variations like The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan, but never The Big Dog.
This seems like a guarantee somewhere down the line, and it's only a matter of time before his image is front and centre on everyone's copy of whatever future game he's the mascot of.
#9 Be Accepted by the Fans as the Top Babyface
Try all they might, one thing WWE hasn't been able to award Reigns is the true status as the top babyface in the company.
Of course, this has been the mandate from the past few years and every possible attempt at making this a reality has been tried, but it's been a failure of an experiment thus far.
Reigns in unarguably one of the top performers in the company as far as the way he's booked, but the fans simply refuse to accept him as their next Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock or even John Cena.
This is something he's going to have to overcome if he's to be the success story WWE wishes him to be and tries to claim he is.
Sadly, for him, the way he's been "shoved down everyone's throats" for years may have killed any chances of him being legitimately accepted as the right man for that spot, so while he can do everything else on this list, this is one thing he may not be able to accomplish.
#10 Be Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
Don't let that smug face fool you. Just because Reigns doesn't get a warm reception from the audience and gets booed at Hall of Fame ceremonies doesn't mean his chances of getting inducted in the future are shot.
In fact, by this point, he's already a shoo-in to headline a future edition of the Hall of Fame ceremony.
There are far too many things he's done in his short time in WWE to try to make an argument that he shouldn't be inducted, however annoying that might be to some of his detractors.
If Koko B. Ware and The Bushwhackers can go in despite being comedic acts, Reigns, with all his championships and other trophies—physical and metaphorical—is absolutely guaranteed to do this in the future.
Here's hoping by the time the idea of inducting him is being discussed, he'll have won over the audience and it will be a time for celebration rather than boos.
