A 5-star match after a long time

WWE is turning out to be more of a soap opera than a wrestling show. While character development and a background story-line are important, that doesn't mean it should be your primary focus.

Have you forgotten the match between AJ Styles and Finn Balor at TLC? It had zero background though their independent story-line made up for it, still, it was the best match in the WWE career of the Irishman. If you look at the Survivor Series match between Sheamus and Cesaro and the Usos, and the match between Baron Corbin and the Miz, then both acting as heels left the fans confused whom to cheer.

However, that being said the recent 5-star match between Johnny Gargano and Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia has shown that the WWE producers and bookers can deliver it if they want. Rather than delivering it once in a blue moon, it should be a daily affair.
