#7 What inspired Dash Wilder's ring name in WWE

Dusty Rhodes helped come up with the name Dash Wilder

Cash Wheeler spoke about how he came up with his ring name in WWE - Dash Wilder. He revealed that Dash Wilder was not his first choice and that the man behind the name was the late great Dusty Rhodes. Wheeler said that Dusty got the name "Dash" from Cody's old 'Dashing' Cody Rhodes gimmick:

At the time, Dusty was helping us assign names in NXT, and he liked Dash. I never told the story really, but he liked Dash because of 'Dashing' Cody Rhodes. I never told Cody that, but I'll never hear the end of it now.

Dax and Cash went on to talk about how Dusty Rhodes had influenced them, revealing that he helped them get put together as a tag-team, while others in the PC didn't believe in them. They also revealed a hilarious story about how Dusty gave them homemade ice cream and took them out of class to talk and listen to Willy Nelson songs in his office.
