Asuka vs Charlotte Flair was one of the three planned title matches in the Championship edition of Monday Night RAW. The WrestleMania 34 rematch had a background story - Charlotte Flair constantly having Asuka's number.

Charlotte Flair ended Asuka's legendary undefeated streak at WrestleMania 34, beat her for the SmackDown Women's Championship before WrestleMania 35, and even beat her on the RAW before Backlash in a non-title match.

Even in the Mixed Match Challenge, Asuka ended up tapping out to Charlotte Flair, but this time around, the RAW Women's Champion managed to beat Flair clean with an Asuka Lock. It was a good payoff, but it had the background of Nia Jax having attacked Charlotte Flair earlier in the night.

What was more interesting is how Sasha Banks is the next RAW Women's title challenger. That's right, the SmackDown star, after beating The IIconics and retaining the Women's Tag Team titles with Bayley, teased challenging her best friend for the title.

After a tense moment, she revealed that her challenge went out to RAW Women's Champion Asuka, who accepted her challenge for Extreme Rules. We will be having a Champion vs Champion match on the show!
