We are two weeks away from the highly anticipated Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, which will see top superstars battle it out for the career-changing briefcase. As of this writing, Jey Uso, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade have qualified for the Men's Ladder Match.
Three more superstars will be added to the match, but potential swerves could see more spots opening up. Triple H could plan last-minute replacements or shocking additions to surprise fans in one of the most sought-after WWE matches of the year.
Here, we look at five potential surprise entrants in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. So, without further ado, let's begin:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1. Brock Lesnar to recreate Money in the Bank history?
Brock Lesnar stunned the WWE Universe at the 2019 Money in the Bank PLE when he revealed himself as a surprise replacement for Sami Zayn in the Men's Ladder Match. The Beast would eventually walk out with the contract and cash it against Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Championship.
The 10-time WWE World Champion (seven-time WWE Champion and three-time Universal Champion) could make a surprise return next month in hopes of pulling off a similar move. Although he may have lesser chances of emerging victorious, we could see his involvement in the match setting up his next feud in the company.
#2. Drew McIntyre gets more than revenge
To say that Drew McIntyre has had an eventful few days would be an understatement. He was moments away from picking up a fairytale victory and becoming World Heavyweight Champion in front of his home crowd until CM Punk took it away.
The Scottish Warrior then "quit" WWE on RAW earlier this week, only to return on SmackDown last night and attack The Best in The World in front of his home crowd on the Chicago-bound show.
While Punk will remain McIntyre's focus, he is equally keen on getting his hands on the title. It is unlikely that he will receive a direct championship opportunity soon. Hence, the former WWE Champion could turn his attention toward Money in the Bank for a guaranteed title shot.
After losing two of his previous world championships to the coveted briefcase, McIntyre could look to use it as a tool to script poetic justice for himself. A vicious turn of events could see him attack someone and replace him in the Ladder Match closer to the show.
#3. Finn Balor gets a second chance at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Finn Balor competed in the Money in the Bank qualifier match against Rey Mysterio and Main Event Jey Uso on the recent episode of Monday Night RAW. Although Dominik Mysterio managed to interfere and cost Rey his opportunity, The Judgment Day couldn't prevent The YEET Master from pinning Balor to book a spot in the Men's Ladder Match.
The decision was widely dubbed a massive mistake, especially considering it was yet another monumental defeat for The Prince on RAW. Many believe WWE could have told an interesting storyline if Balor had the MITB briefcase while Damian Priest was the World Heavyweight Champion.
However, Triple H could be planning to give Balor a second chance and have him qualify for the match at the last minute, adding to the troubles of The Archer of Infamy amidst the growing tension between him and The Prince.
#4. Logan Paul makes a new plan for a huge championship win in WWE
Logan Paul has worked wonders with the United States Championship despite his sporadic title defenses. While he should have put his championship on the line more often, The Maverick has done good work drawing heat as a top-heel prize holder.
It is worth noting that the social media star has previously challenged Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for the World Championships and had impressive showings despite the defeats.
It appears that Paul could soon lose his United States Championship to LA Knight. WWE may be planning to use the Money in the Bank contract to get Paul a brief World Championship reign, and he could be added to the Ladder Match. Even if he doesn't win, the possibility would keep fans hooked.
#5. Ricochet returns for WWE Money in the Bank
Ricochet had a forgettable night on the June 10, 2024, episode of RAW when a brutal backstage altercation with Bron Breakker ended with the high-flying superstar having to leave the arena in an ambulance. It was seemingly his last appearance in WWE, as the former Speed Champion is reportedly set to move on in his career.
However, we could see Triple H convince Ricochet to re-sign with the company and debut a more intense persona after being revealed as a surprise entrant for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. It would be an incredible way to show that the creative team is committed to exciting plans for Ricochet that will see him find the success he deserves.
