Reigns’ NFL dreams died in 2007

He might be The Big Dog and the most pushed man in the WWE today but back in 2007, professional wrestling wasn’t even a thought in the mind of a 21-year-old Roman Reigns. 2007 was the year that his dreams of making the NFL as an American Football player were dashed.

He was undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft, and then signed and released by both the Minnesota Vikings as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars. In fact, Reigns did not start training to be a professional wrestler till 2010 when he joined WWE’s developmental program.
