Paige wanted to hang out with her fellow Total Divas cast member and do a cemetery photo shoot in New Orleans, but Jax explained that she was busy and it was not her fault that she had a match that weekend.
At the time, Paige had been told that she could no longer wrestle but she had not yet made the news public. She responded to Jax’s comment by implying that her Total Divas colleague did not want to be friends due to her in-ring status.
“Now, you see, that is the exact problem that I’m talking about. I can see now who my real friends are. You don’t want to be my friend because I can’t wrestle anymore. I get it.”
Paige was part of the commentary team for the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34 and announced her in-ring retirement one night later on RAW.
