10 twists that could happen at the Elimination Chamber

The Royal Rumble just got done, and alas, in almost no time, yet another Smackdown B pay-per-view is upon us again. What generally makes the Chamber (and professional wrestling too, come to think of it) a must-watch affair is generally the unpredictability that is associated with it.

Much like the Rumble itself, the Chamber’s eventual outcome depends on the luck of the draw. We are sure that WWE has more surprises up its sleeve to make the Elimination Chamber a must-see PPV in the build to Wrestlemania 33.

Lend us your ears as we suggest 10 possible surprises that WWE may have planned for this PPV event.

#10 The return of Erick Rowan

Will Rowan eventually help Wyatt pick up the victory?

It seems odd indeed that rumours indicate that Bray Wyatt is the favourite to win the Elimination Chamber match, for two major reasons. First, it sets up Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt for Wrestlemania’s main event, a match we’ve seen several times so far with very little crowd interest or involvement.

Secondly, Bray hasn't been booked strongly enough to defeat the top-tier superstars in the Elimination Chamber.

Erick Rowan was spotted at the WWE performance centre recently and he’s primed to make his comeback. How will he enter the Elimination Chamber, you ask? Elementary, dear reader. Rowan has magical powers that make him appear and disappear when the lights go out.

We totally expect to see him back, in the title match itself.

#9 Luke Harper upsets Randy Orton

Harper going over Orton really hurts no one

Randy Orton goes to main-event of Wrestlemania irrespective of the outcome of his match against Luke Harper. Why not have Orton put Luke Harper over, and elevate his status in their match instead?

Harper can certainly work and Smackdown needs all the stars they can get right now.

It would be like the passing of the torch, from one man with voices in his head to another with far worse things in his crazy mind. Harper is booked as a big, strong man, and a loss to him should not really harm Randy Orton.

#8 Luke Harper helps Bray Wyatt win

Maybe it was a plan all along!

Somewhere, deep down in our hearts, we know that Luke Harper won’t really work as a babyface. Sure, all of us want it to happen. At the same time, come on! His gear, his look, his wrestling style, all scream ‘heel-monster’.

Will you really be surprised to find that the master manipulator - Bray Wyatt was pulling strings all along? Harper appears in the Elimination Chamber, with his magic, much in the vein of Mr Erick Rowan.

He aligns himself with Wyatt and helps him pick up the big victory. Champion and disciple are united then! All is right with the world. Only it is a dark and desolate world full of chaos, destruction and utter disarray. Moving on...

#7 The Miz wins the Elimination Chamber match

Will we see a repeat of this dreadful image from many years ago?

WWE has probably seen how disinterested people are in the proposed Randy Orton vs. John Cena Wrestlemania Main Event, as well as the probable Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt encounter too.

However, The Miz vs. John Cena is a program that has been speculated, and fans honestly seem far more enthused about it. Suppose The Miz were to pick up a victory, he would enter a program with Cena (who has a contractual rematch) and Orton!

We know a Triple Threat match with these three men is far more exciting than any other permutation of these men, honestly. Never say never!

#6 Tamina Snuka costs Naomi the Smackdown Women's title

Could Tamina be Alexa Bliss’ brand new bodyguard?

Naomi has been booked very strongly, looking dominant against the Smackdown Women's Champion, the gorgeous Alexa Bliss. It seems highly improbable that Alexa will win her match clean.

It seems even more improbable that WWE will put the Women's Championship on Naomi. Considering that Tamina has recovered from injury, it is a very likely scenario that she returns and aligns herself with Bliss against her former Team BAD compadre - Naomi.

Will Naomi ‘feel the blow’ from Tamina's mighty fists? We apologise for the pun wholeheartedly.

#5 AJ Styles becomes WWE Champion

Can Styles recapture his championship once more?

In last week’s Fatal Four Way match, Baron Corbin defeated AJ Styles with the End of Days. A very surprising move indeed, considering how high McMahon has been on Styles. Generally, such moves are a precursor to some massive development, such as Styles picking up a big win inside the Elimination Chamber.

Wyatt vs Orton can still happen, while Styles does not really have a speculated Wrestlemania opponent yet (the only rumour so far has been Shane McMahon). The crowd will love this decision, and Styles vs. Orton is a really big money match that we haven't seen yet! Fingers crossed.

#4 Randy Orton turns on Bray Wyatt

We knew this alliance was never meant to last

Two alpha males cannot coexist. Especially when one is a 12-time world champion, and is supposed to take orders from the other.

This seemed like a ruse from the word go, and we certainly won't be surprised if Orton turns on Wyatt at the Elimination Chamber. In fact, we expect this to happen when Wyatt wins his match to set up their contest for Wrestlemania 33. This isn't a real surprise, but almost an anticlimax.

#3 The Ascension win the Tag Team Turmoil match

Is it just us, or have Konnor and Viktor been booked very strongly of late?

The Ascension was once a team to be feared. Soon enough, the team became little more than jobbers.

With their surprising win last week on Smackdown, however, it looks like they are regaining momentum again. Is this enough to mean that they will become Smackdown tag team champions? We’ll find out Sunday.

We’ll be very surprised if American Alpha retains the titles, as this match seems customised for them to lose.

#2 Emmalina’s debut

Can Shane McMahon buy her contract before her debut?

Her debut has become a joke. Now that she’s finally slated to make an appearance on Raw, what if Smackdown were to buy her contract beforehand? However small this angle may be in the larger picture, it's certain to get a really, really huge pop.

#1 The Revival enter the Tag Team Turmoil match

Everyone in the crowd would really mark out!

This is a really far fetched but very cool possibility. Bear with us as we paint a picture of how it can possibly play out.

Of all the teams that are part of the turmoil match, one gets pummeled in the parking lot. They have to be replaced at the last minute, and lo and behold, The Revival happen to be present backstage. They come in and win the titles.

Why? Have you seen the teams in the Tag Team Turmoil? American Alpha really needs a good team to work against, and The Revival are just what the doctor ordered.
