Jeff Hardy will always be remembered as one of the most popular babyfaces of all time, regardless of whether he won titles or not. Thankfully, Jeff managed to amass many championship reigns in WWE, but it was never expected that he’d go on to win the WWE Championship.
He did so after returning to WWE in 2006 and slowly began to climb the ladder until it was undeniable that he was the hottest star in the company. At Armageddon 2008, Jeff Hardy did the unthinkable by defeating Triple H and Edge in a Triple Threat Match to finally win the WWE title, something which many people perceived that he would never accomplish.

On top of this, he would go on to hold the World Heavyweight Championship on two separate occasions during 2009, during his critically acclaimed summer feud with CM Punk. Their issues were kicked off when Hardy, having just defeated Edge to win the World Heavyweight title in a gruelling Ladder Match, found himself forced to defend his title instantly due to Punk cashing in Money In The Bank.
Punk won the title, and their issues continued on TV and on many PPV events until Jeff exited the company again, in August 2009.
