The craziest stories about flatulence and incontinence in professional wrestling often involve "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. The following incident was narrated by veteran wrestler John Nord.

Apparently, back in 1984, Nord wrestled Rhodes in a match that went fairly normal up until the very end. The former had been instructed to pick Rhodes up and deliver a Piledriver on him, so as to finish the bout.

However, Nord failed to launch Rhodes’ heavy body upside down, hence pulled the latter’s rear and his singlet, literally giving the American Dream a wedgie. Dusty was known to use ‘mufflers’—a giant roll of toilet paper, padded up and stuffed into his underpants in order to prevent the crowd from hearing his flatulence as well as to keep his refuse from spilling out of his trunks.

Nord publicly revealed this in an interview years after the incident transpired, recalling that after the aforementioned wedgie, Dusty informed him that his ‘muffler’ fell out.

Although Nord delivered the move and finished the match, he was scarred for life, as the muffler which lay in the middle of the ring contained a semi-liquid substance made up of different shades of brown, yellow and red.
