It's no authority but just an opinion that Seth Rollins vs Sting happened because Seth Rollins was going through a major push in the WWE. Triple H has lost quite a many WrestleMania matches because of the same reason. I will agree with Shawn Michaels for old superstars making a return. Shawn Michaels talking about his return in-ring mentioned how he is ready for Tag-Team matches or matches with the likes of wrestlers who competed at his time. "Something like that I would consider but nobody ever talks about that. It's always me and somebody half my age." Michaels was quoted as saying in an interview with Inside the Ropes.
It's true to a large extent, the fact that The Undertaker vs Triple H excites WWE Universe more than The Undertaker vs Rusev Casket Match is more gravity to this statement.
