WWE Backstage analyst CM Punk is currently working under the FOX banner and although he isn’t technically a WWE wrestler, he’s still associated with the company in some capacity. Punk's last WWE match happened in 2014 - at the Royal Rumble - whereafter he got fired a few months later on his wedding day. Later, Punk retired from wrestling and has stuck to his decision so far.

Additionally, WWE could also promise more creative freedom to CM Punk, which is something that would definitely grab his attention.
