#2. WWE SmackDown star Murphy

Murphy was once part of a storyline alongside Seth Rollins and the Mysterio family on WWE TV. The Messiah was written off TV back in November in order to take paternity leave and Murphy was then able to step into a new feud with King Corbin alongside The Mysterio Family.

Murphy was also part of a romantic storyline with Aalyah Mysterio, but recent reports suggest that this angle has now been dropped. Murphy hasn't been used on WWE TV since early January.

It has been reported that Murphy was set to be part of a six-man feud that also included his former tag team partner Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler. Following the latter's release from the company, WWE was forced to scrap the feud and Murphy now awaits a new creative direction.

#1. WWE SmackDown star Wesley Blake

Ad

Wesley Blake has had a tough run in WWE over the past few months, from being written off WWE TV following Jaxson Ryker's comments on social media, to now having a storyline dropped due to Steve Cutler's departure from the company.

Wesley Blake was set to be part of a feud with King Corbin where he was one of his Knights of The Lone Wolf, but this idea was reportedly scrapped when Cutler was released from the company. It has since left Blake sidelined.

The positive here is that Wesley Blake and Murphy are both on SmackDown with nothing to do, so WWE could opt to reunite the former NXT Tag Team Champions.
