Sporting a long cool beard is a trend these days and most men prefer having some kind of facial hair. The same has been true for WWE Superstars. There have been several WWE Superstars on the main roster and throughout history that have had an amazing beard.
If you look at the current roster, there are hardly a few Superstars who go with a "clean shave" look or with nearly little to no facial hair. In this article, let's take a look at these WWE Superstars and what they looked like with a beard.

#10 John Cena (16-time World Champion in WWE)
Arguably one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, John Cena was the face of the company for over a decade before finally deciding to focus on his Hollywood career. While most of his colleagues and opponents sported long beards, the Leader of Cenation was famous for his clean shaved look. And ladies still drooled over how amazing he looked without a beard.
But there have been a few instances, especially after he made his switch to Hollywood when John Cena has grown a beard. Recently, he shared a video on his social media with a beard surprising those who are used to see his in his WWE avatar.
In his nearly two-decade-long career with WWE, John Cena is one of the, if not the most, accomplished Superstars of the promotion. In 2017, he defeated AJ Styles to tie with Ric Flair's record of 16 World Championship reigns. John Cena last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 36 where he took on Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Fun House match.
#9 Brock Lesnar (Former WWE Champion)
Brock Lesnar has dominated the main event scene in WWE ever since his return in 2012. One of the biggest draws and the highest-paid WWE Superstar of 2019, the Beast Incarnate has been an integral part of the roster.
Brock Lesnar mostly appears with a clean shave during his appearances for WWE. But during his time in UFC, he could be seen sporting a proper beard, as seen in the picture above.
Lesnar made his WWE debut in 2002 and soon became the youngest WWE Champion in history. He left the company in 2004 and had a successful career in MMA, becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion. He returned to WWE in 2012 and has been almost unstoppable, winning title after title.
Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston on the 20th-anniversary show of SmackDown in 2019. He went on to drop the title to the 2020 Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, in what was his last appearance for the company.
Recently, reports have revealed that Lesnar's contract with WWE has expired. He is technically a "free agent", leading to speculations of what could be next for the Beast Incarnate.
#8 Bobby Lashley (WWE RAW)
Bobby Lashley is one of the most dominating competitors on the WWE roster right now. Fans have been used to seeing him in his bald and clean-shaved look. But during his time with MMA promotion Shark Fights, Lashley used to sport a beard as seen in the picture above.
Bobby Lashley returned to WWE in 2018 and has since been involved in many interesting feuds. Currently, he is the United States Champion on Monday Night RAW and is a part of The Hurt Business alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
#7 Shorty G/ Chad Gable (WWE SmackDown)
Chad Gable, now referred to as Shorty G, is one of the few WWE Superstars to have competed in the Olympics. We usually see him clean-shaved on SmackDown but the above picture shows him sporting a beard during his appearance at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Gable signed with WWE in 2013 and soon formed a tag-team with Jason Jordan on NXT, the American Alpha. Considered as one of the best tag-teams to have come from NXT, the two won the NXT Tag Team Championship. They also became the SmackDown Tag Team Champions after being called up to the main roster.
#6 Paul Heyman (WWE SmackDown)
If one makes a list of the greatest managers and greatest mic-workers in WWE history, Paul Heyman's name would surely be there in both the lists. The creative genius behind ECW, Paul Heyman is best known in WWE as the "advocate" of the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.
Fans are used to see him in his clean-shaved look but the picture above has Paul Heyman with a proper beard. Recently, Paul Heyman returned to SmackDown and has formed a new alliance with a heel Roman Reigns. Fans are excited to see this partnership going forward.
#5 Jason Jordan (WWE Producer)
We previously discussed Chad Gable, now we'll take a look at his former tag-team partner, Jason Jordan. He signed a contract with WWE in 2011 and joined FCW, which later became NXT. He formed the tag-team American Alpha with Gable and the two were hugely popular among fans, winning titles on NXT as well as on the main roster.
In the above picture, taken from Jason Jordan's Twitter account, he can be seen with a beard, as opposed to his usual clean-shaven look in WWE. Jason Jordan has been out-of-action since 2018 due to his neck injury. He currently works as a producer for the company and it is to be seen if we will ever see him back in the ring.
#4 Randy Orton (WWE RAW)
Out of all the entries in this list, Randy Orton's beard look might be a familiar one for long-time WWE fans. But currently, he appears on Monday Night RAW with a clean shaved face. Randy Orton is one of the most accomplished Superstars in the company's history, being a 13-time World Champion.
Son of WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton, Randy signed with WWE in 2001. At SummerSlam 2004, Orton defeated Chris Benoit to win the World Heavyweight Championship, becoming the youngest world champion in WWE history. Ever since he hasn't looked back and has become a huge part of the WWE roster. He is a two-time Royal Rumble winner and a grand slam champion in WWE.
Randy Orton is currently in the middle of one of his best runs in WWE. He feuded with the Rated-R Superstar Edge for the better part of 2020. Orton has been in the WWE Championship picture recently after bringing back his vicious Punt Kick and the Legend Killer persona. Whenever Orton decides to hang his boots, he surely will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his legendary career.
#3 Rey Mysterio (WWE RAW)
Rey Mysterio is considered to be one of the greatest masked Superstars in WWE history. A legend in the industry, Mysterio started his wrestling career over three decades ago. To this day, he can give a tough competition to any young WWE Superstar with his in-ring skills and agility. In the above picture, Rey Mysterio can be seen sporting a beard under his mask.
Rey Mysterio first signed with WWE in 2002 and mesmerized the fans with his unique style of wrestling. He is considered as one of the top underdogs in history, having competed against several big men and giants and defeating them.
Rey Mysterio returned to WWE at the 2018 Royal Rumble and has since been involved in many top feuds. Recently, he has been in a highly personal rivalry with the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins. At SummerSlam 2020, Rey Mysterio's son Dominik made his in-ring debut for WWE against Rollins. The father-son duo have teamed up on a few occasions after that. Fans are excited to see the second-generation Mysterio continue his father's legacy in the business.
#2 Kane
Kane is one of the longest-tenured WWE Superstar to still be an active in-ring competitor. Currently serving as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Kane continues to make occasional appearances for WWE whenever required. In the above picture, he can be seen sporting a proper beard back in the day, before the debut of his character Kane.
Kane made his debut for WWE in 1995 and has been one of the most popular Superstars in history. He has been a two-time World Champion, Money in the Bank winner, and has won several other titles in the company.
#1 Matt Riddle (WWE SmackDown)
Matt Riddle is one of the very few young Superstars who doesn't sport a beard and goes with a clean-shaven look. But in the picture above, he can be seen with a few facial hairs. Having a background in MMA, Riddle started training for a career in professional wrestling in 2014.
He signed a contract with WWE in 2018 and joined NXT. During his nearly two-year-long stay on the brand, he won the NXT tag team titles with Pete Dunne. In May 2020, he was shifted to SmackDown and has been in various storylines on the Blue brand.
