#9 Dolph Ziggler
When playing a heel on television, no one can act as serious as Dolph Ziggler in WWE. The former World Heavyweight Champion has seen many ups and downs in his WWE career, but he has always managed to make the best of the storylines and bookings he’s gotten to make it big in the wrestling industry.
Ziggler has been performing in WWE for over 15 years now, and he is among the best mic workers in the company. This unique ability has allowed him to polish some of his jokes and make it big outside the wrestling industry too.
Ziggler takes time off WWE to pursue his other passion
Many fans of The Showoff might not know that Ziggler is also a Stand-Up comedian who has been performing on stage since 2013. When asked by WWE.com whether he is Dolph Ziggler when performing standup, The Showoff revealed the following:
“No. It’s just me. The hair is up tucked under a hat, and I’m in a black hoodie. I’m just a guy who goes to Chipotle and has weird things happen to him. That’s very much because I want to see what works and what doesn’t, and not have people laughing because they like me from wrestling. I gotta find a way to get true reactions, so I force myself to not be Dolph Ziggler.”
Ziggler has recently taken some months off wrestling to push his other talents forward and has managed to land a few major gigs and a lot of praise from the comedians community.
Who knows, maybe Ziggler will become a full-time comedian once he retires from wrestling!
