WWE Survivor Series 2017 is drawing ever closer and the Monday Night Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle, and SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, Shane McMahon, will be meticulously picking their teams to represent Team Red and Team Blue as they do battle against each other.
However, If I were Shane McMahon or Kurt Angle, I'd be very careful about who I put in my 5 vs. 5 traditional Survivor Series teams as the pay-per-view has a history for shock betrayals and unexpected allegiances being formed.
So, to help Shane and Kurt out, I've taken it upon myself to list the ten current WWE Superstars who are almost guaranteed to turn on their own brand and side with the other team.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#10 Sami Zayn
Starting with the most obvious, Sami Zayn is clearly going to prove to be a thorn in Shane McMahon's side as he attempts to assert brand supremacy and prove to Kurt Angle that SmackDown LIVE is better than Monday Night Raw.
Sami Zayn might not currently be on the SmackDown Survivor Series team following a losing effort to Randy Orton to qualify for one of the five spots available, but if for whatever reason Sami Zayn does make it onto team SmackDown, it's incredibly likely he will find a way to ruin things from the inside.
Another possible option is that Sami Zayn makes a complete brand switch (again) and joins Team Raw to openly fight against Shane McMahon at Survivor Series, which would make things extremely interesting.
#9 Kevin Owens
If Sami Zayn is going to turn on SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series to get back at Shane McMahon, then it stands to reason that his 'best friend', Kevin Owens, is also going to join in and ruin Shane's day.
Owens recently competed against the SmackDown boss at Hell in a Cell, where he picked up the victory when Sami Zayn pulled him away from the path of a Shane-O-Mac elbow drop from the top of the structure. Since then, the pair has been a constant thorn in the side of Daniel Bryan, another SmackDown LIVE authority figure.
It remains to be seen if Owens will qualify for the SmackDown LIVE team at Survivor Series, but if he does, he's probably not going to take the 'honour' seriously, and if he doesn't qualify, there's a good chance he, like Zayn, actually joins Team Raw.
#8 Nia Jax
Alicia Fox announced Nia Jax as the first addition to the RAW women's Survivor Series team on her return to Monday Night Raw. But what if the WWE plays up to the reports that Jax is unhappy on RAW and has her turn on her team?
Alternatively, she still technically has a storyline going on with Alexa Bliss, with Jax being used as a bodyguard of sorts by the RAW Women's Champion before her time away from WWE television.
Maybe Nia Jax interferes in the match between Alexa Bliss and Natalya, costing Bliss the match and letting her know that she hasn't forgotten how Bliss treated her before. She wouldn't necessarily be betraying RAW, but her actions would certainly benefit SmackDown.
#7 AJ Styles
Recently, SmackDown LIVE star AJ Styles has had a taste of what it's like to be on Monday Night RAW. He faced Finn Balor at TLC 2017 when he was drafted in last minute to replace Bray Wyatt and then he teamed with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to take on The Miz and The BAR the following night.
It seems a given that Styles, who participated in the siege of Monday Night RAW, attacking the two men he'd teamed with earlier in the night, will be added to SmackDown LIVE's Survivor Series team.
But what if Styles wants to move over to the red brand after his experiences there? It makes sense because his former allies The Club are on RAW as well. Styles can rebuild his faction and dominate, but first, he'll need to betray SmackDown LIVE.
#6 Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan did not seem at all impressed with Shane McMahon's methods, disagreeing with the SmackDown LIVE siege of Monday Night RAW, and he was also upset that he wasn't informed it was happening.
We saw him visiting Monday Night RAW the following week, but before we could get a word from him explaining his visit to see RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, the SmackDown General Manager was brutally attacked by Kane.
Could Daniel Bryan have been working out a plan with Kurt Angle to turn on SmackDown LIVE and ensure that Shane McMahon comes out on the losing end of Survivor Series?
#5 Samoa Joe
After Joe defeated Apollo Crews and choked out Titus O'Neil, he certainly seems like a shoe-in for a spot on the Monday Night RAW Survivor Series team. But does the freshly returned Samoa Joe have any brand loyalty at all?
Well, after his match on Monday, Samoa Joe cut a promo backstage stating that he felt ignored by WWE.com and the WWE Universe when he was off ill; he added that other Superstars are given redemption and comeback hype. Joe then stated that everyone will 'get it'.
It seems likely that Samoa Joe's bitterness towards everyone will severely impact his team's chances at Survivor Series as he's more concerned about hurting whoever he can get his hands on rather than beating the other brand.
#4 Lana
Lana was ridiculed on SmackDown LIVE when every other women's division superstar in the room other than her was added to the SmackDown LIVE Survivor Series team by Daniel Bryan.
The SmackDown LIVE General Manager directly insulted Lana to her face when Bryan specifically stated that everyone would be on the team except for her. She didn't look happy about it at all.
Could Lana get some form of revenge against her General Manager and interfere during the Survivor Series match, showing him exactly what he missed out on when he didn't select her to be part of the team?
#3 Carmella
Carmella is the current Ms. Money in the Bank and she's been holding onto that briefcase for a long, long time. Will we finally see the title match contract come into play during the dual-branded Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Before people get too excited and imagine Carmella cashing in on the RAW Women's title by beating Alexa Bliss — let me just stop you there. The WWE have explained many times that the briefcase is brand specific and can only be used on SmackDown champions.
That doesn't mean that Carmella won't cash it in though, what better time to steal a championship from Natalya then by cashing in after she's faced extremely tough competition in RAW's champion Alexa Bliss. Carmella could even cash in during the match, costing SmackDown LIVE the Champion vs Champion match.
#2 The Miz
The Miz has a huge authority figure problem; he didn't agree with and clashed with Daniel Bryan whilst he was on SmackDown LIVE, and now he currently finds himself at odds with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle on the red brand.
The question at this point is who does The Miz dislike more? And it's looking more and more like the answer will be Kurt Angle — The RAW General Manager stole his spotlight at TLC, beating The Miz's team; he booked The Miz in an impromptu title match against Matt Hardy, and he made The Miz stay at RAW, leading to a returning Braun Strowman attacking him.
Because of this, there's every chance that The Miz won't be interested in his Intercontinental Champion vs United States Champion match against Baron Corbin at Survivor Series and will deliberately sabotage Kurt Angle's plans, especially as that means Angle will be fired from RAW.
#1 Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle busted his body to make Monday Night RAW a success when Roman Reigns couldn't compete at the TLC 2017 main event. Angle himself stepped up and put himself in the 5 vs 3 handicap Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.
If that's not dedication to your job, I don't know what is! But how does Angle get repaid for his sacrifice to make the show better? Stephanie McMahon returns, puts him as team captain of the RAW Survivor Series team and tells him if he loses, he's going to get sacked, just like Mick Foley.
We saw Daniel Bryan on this week's RAW visiting Kurt Angle, could there be a double turn in the works? Daniel Bryan wants to usurp Shane McMahon needs Kurt Angle to defect to SmackDown LIVE to do so. It's farfetched, but imagine if Angle deliberately loses at Survivor Series and gets fired, only to turn up on SmackDown.
