The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev, has been one of the most popular WWE Superstar for years now. Whatever segment he has been involved in, he has somehow managed to get the entire crowd support behind him.

The success of the 'Rusev Day' gimmick was somewhat muted by the fact that there was no actual follow-through, despite the fact that this was one of the most popular gimmicks at the time, with all of the merchandise being sold out again and again.

Even in his last ridiculous storyline with Bobby Lashley and Lana, Rusev was able to gain momentum and get the crowd behind him.

Currently, he is not part of any storyline, with Lashley apparently having moved on. Given the fact that apparently he is yet to sign a contract with WWE again, he could choose to move to AEW.

One thing that AEW lacks tremendously at the moment is wrestlers who are slightly larger and have that ability to appear as a monster, barring one or two. Rusev's addition to the roster, along with his in-ring ability would make him a valuable part of AEW and would possibly see him shoot to the main event scene.
