Possibly one of the biggest superstars that stood head and shoulders with the rest of the wrestling industry was Rusev due to his immense popularity with the 'Rusev Day' moniker.

While legions of WWE fans applauded his gimmick and coerced the company to push him, the Bulgarian Brute never managed to seek the attention of the management.

There's no denying that he shared the ring with AJ Styles and the Undertaker on different occasions, but these encounters saw him lose to his opponents in disappointing fashion.

His camaraderie with Aiden English took WWE by storm in early 2018, with Rusev receiving deafening reactions from the crowd on a weekly basis.

His in-ring ability speaks for itself and while his feud with Aiden English did felt promising, his gimmick has died a tragic death, in the process.
