The New Day

Well, the New Day are no strangers to unique choice of ring attire - whether it be a pink and baby blue combo, or unicorn print and unicorn horns - but WrestleMania truly is a time to try to outdo yourself, and Xavier Woods did just that when he suggested the trio dress up as characters from Dragon Ball Z.

Woods told IGN:

That was my idea. I don’t have have a problem taking credit for that one! But Kofi does like Dragon Ball Z. [Big] E wasn’t really an anime guy...he’s more of a old-school hip-hop head. But we showed him a picture of the stuff that what we wanted to wear, and he was all in.

The Guinness world record holder even went on to say that people noticed every little bit of the effort that went into their attire.

And it’s nice because there are people that caught the attention to detail. So like, their suits didn’t have tails and mine did. So you could tell that if there was a full moon, then we wouldn’t have had a problem winning the match. Or if I turned into a great ape it would have been all good.

Woods, of course, is no stranger to dress up. He's also donned some unique hairstyles in the name of paying tribute - such as red streaks to pay homage to Rufio from Hook.

Xavier Woods changed his hair in the name of cosplay
Essentially, mixing my love for cosplay into my love of wrestling and have it not be outlandish...it’s cool that people appreciate it.
