#8 The Pitbulls

DISCLAIMER: This is about the WWE Tag-team and not the Pit Bulls from the original ECW

To be quite honest, even I’d forgotten that The Pitbulls were once a thing when I started my research for this article. The team consisted of Cruiserweights Jamie Noble and Kid Kash and was formed after Noble’s return to WWE in 2005.

The gimmick was sort of a rip-off or tribute (depending on which way you look at it) of the tag-team of the same name down in the original ECW including the dog collars they wore down to the ring.

Both Noble and Kash were veterans of the cruiserweight division and hence the the team had a certain appeal to it. But just like most ad hoc teams that the WWE assembled, the Pit Bulls too fizzled out with Kash departing the company.

#7 Gymini

Sticking to the early 2000s and the Ruthless Aggression Era, we move onto the tag-team of Gymini who wrestled in developmental as The Shane Twins. The duo were renamed as Jesse and Jake Gymini and made their SmackDown debut in early 2006.

Gymini were brought in by fitness guru Simon Dean as his henchman. Unfortunately, Jake and Jesse looked lost inside the ring from day one and did not last long in the WWE. They were released from their WWE contracts in early 2007, just a little more than a year after their main roster debut.

They were making light work of their opponents on WWE's B shows but couldn't replicate the same on SmackDown.
