Brock Lesnar hasn't been on WWE television since the 2023 SummerSlam and has missed out on a lot of actions and dream matches. Although his return status remains uncertain, one star who can welcome him back to the squared circle is fellow absent star Big E.
At the 2022 Day 1 Premium Live Event, Brock Lesnar was added last minute to the WWE Championship match after his scheduled contest against Roman Reigns was canceled. The main event featured Big E defending his title against Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Lesnar, with The Beast Incarnate ultimately securing the victory. Brock and The New Day member have not engaged in a rematch since, but that can change at WrestleMania 41 if both of their circumstances change.
Brock Lesnar was reportedly scheduled to make his WWE return at this year's Royal Rumble, but after being allegedly alluded to in the Janel Grant lawsuit there has been a delay. Meanwhile, the two-time RAW Tag Team Champion has been out of action due to a neck injury he sustained in 2022. Although neither man's current circumstances seem ideal for a comeback, that may change soon.

It was recently reported that Brock and the company have been discussing return plans, while the two-time Intercontinental Champion has given hope about a potential in-ring return if he gets medically cleared. With still six months left before WrestleMania 41, a lot can change regarding the situation of both men.
A major rematch between Brock Lesnar and the six-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion wouldn’t need a championship to draw fan interest as their skills and history alone would make it a must-see bout. Lesnar could elevate Big E by putting over the younger star before his eventual retirement, while E could quickly regain his status on the roster by facing someone of Brock’s caliber.
What was Big E's reaction to dropping the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar?
Big E is a fan-favorite among the audience and many celebrated with him when he finally cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become the world champion. Many fans and professionals were disappointed when Lesnar won the title, among them was the former champion himself.
On a January 10, 2022, interview with Sports Illustrated, Big E reflected on his championship run and said he wasn't happy about his reign and expressed disappointment about how it ended, though he doesn't have anything negative to say about Lesnar.
"“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed to see it end that way. And it’s not anything against Brock. Brock is a very special athlete, human and performer. There is no shame in losing to Brock Lesnar."
It remains to be seen if Big E and Brock Lesnar will ever return to action in WWE again.
