Batista joined WWE in 2000 and made his main roster debut in 2002. Nearly eight years later, The Animal starred in Wrong Side of Town alongside former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam.
Over the next few years, Batista landed several other acting roles in famous movies, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Spectre, and Avengers: Infinity War. In a recent interview with Men's Health, the wrestling legend revealed that he fell in love with acting.

"I didn’t want to be the guy coming from wrestling. Taking these easy action roles and just kind of pumping up and putting baby oil on my arms. I really fell in love with acting," he said.
Batista had a busy schedule last year. The former World Heavyweight Champion starred in two movies, Army of the Dead and Dune. He also starred in the TV series, See.

This year, The Animal is also working on several projects. Batista will star in Knives Out 2, which should get released in the next few months. He will also star in Thor: Love and Thunder, which will hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
