AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan are two of the greatest in-ring technicians WWE roster possesses as of now. They did square off against each other at the Smackdown after WrestleMania, but Nakamura and Big Cass' interference ensured that the match didn't have a conclusive ending.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Rajah.com), the plans are to prolong his feud with Samoa Joe so that Styles can eventually clash with Daniel Bryan for the title.
Daniel Bryan can become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship if he defeats the Miz at WWE Super Showdown. If the Phenomenal One manages to keep hold of the title until that time, they might eventually cross swords at the Survivor Series.
