The upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown is the season premiere of the blue brand on the USA Network. Given how RAW this week witnessed the return of WWE legend Bret Hart among other exciting segments and matches, fans are excited to see what happens on the blue brand on Friday.

There is a chance a 15-time champion could make his return to WWE for the first time since WrestleMania 40 and involve himself in a major segment. The 15-time champion in question is the legendary, Undertaker. The last time 'Taker appeared on WWE programming, he helped Cody Rhodes become champion at WrestleMania 40.

Similarly, The Undertaker could return to SmackDown's upcoming episode and involve himself in a segment with The American Nightmare. Since RAW witnessed the return of Bret Hart, it's only fair that the blue brand too gets a legend and that's the reason why someone like The Undertaker could make an appearance.

When SmackDown premiered on Fox last time, it witnessed the return of The Rock. However, since The Final Boss is currently a character involved in The Bloodline story, it won't make sense for him to appear as the story will have to be deeper. Hence, The Undertaker is the next best legend WWE can approach.

The Undertaker recently spoke about why he went off script on a previous episode of SmackDown

Back in the day, Undertaker and Kane, The Brothers of Destruction were one of the most popular Tag Teams in WWE. On an April 10th, 2001 edition of SmackDown, The Brothers of Destruction faced Kai En Tai (Funaki & Taka Michinoku) and Big Show in a two-on-three handicap match.

During the match, The Deadman instructed Kane to hit Funaki with a Last Ride. However, The Big Red Machine botched the move. During a recent episode of his Six Feet Under with Mark Callaway podcast with Kane, 'Taker revealed he had no choice but to perform the move on Funaki himself.

The Undertaker said:

"When Kane took his guy [Funaki] and pulled him up, he went up over his head and went out the back door. Went right over the top of him. And it turned off the cuff into an ad lib of me chastizing Kane for not being able to do the Last Ride, so it's big brother telling little brother how to do this particular move, and it turned out to be a funny segment."

Check out what The Undertaker said in the video below:

Like the above-mentioned instance, Undertaker and Kane shared a lot of details about their time in WWE on the podcast. It will be interesting to see if The Deadman makes an appearance on SmackDown this week.
