CM Punk lost to Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2024 merely because he focused more on the bracelet than what was at stake. While the bracelet is important to him, he also desperately needed the victory against The Scottish Warrior.
On WWE RAW tonight, Punk might address what unfolded during the match and blame former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins for the loss. His reason can be that Rollins wearing the bracelet distracted him. However, The Visionary will not sit back and let Punk blame him, especially when the Second City Saint attacked him at the premium live event.
If one watches the clip carefully, after Punk took it off Drew McIntyre's hand, Rollins wore the bracelet to move it out of the way. He most probably didn't have any ill intentions other than keeping it from getting damaged. In fact, even Rollins was a little taken aback when Punk questioned him about the bracelet. So now, Seth Rollins can actually steal the bracelet from Drew McIntyre and taunt CM Punk with it.
A female WWE star said her life is in danger. Details HERE
Had The Voice of the Voiceless focused on beating The Scottish Warrior, The Visionary would have given the bracelet back at the end of the match. Punk did not need to lay hands on the special guest referee. Seth Rollins was giving both McIntyre and Punk the same treatment in the ring and even stopped The Scottish Warrior from using a steel chair on Punk.
Once Punk sees the bracelet with Rollins, he will go ballistic and shift focus to The Visionary. Furthermore, WWE can show the bracelet getting damaged while McIntyre tries to take it back from Rollins, resulting in a triple threat match at Bash in Berlin.
Wrestling legend Kenny Bolin gives his opinion about CM Punk
Ever since returning at Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk hasn't scored a televised victory. SummerSlam 2024 was his first WWE singles match since 2014, and fans expected him to walk away with the win.
In fact, wrestling legend and former manager Kenny Bolin spoke about the same during an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling. He revealed that for most of the time he worked with Punk, Bolin viewed him as a selfish man. However, the result at SummerSlam was a refreshing change of pace.
"I've always viewed Punk as a selfish f**k who just wanted what was best for him. That's how I've always viewed him. Tonight, he showed me different. Whether he had any say in the matter or not, I don't know." Bolin continued, "But he did take the fall. I wasn't looking for it. I figured his first match back in 10 years, that f***er's gonna win, it's probably in his contract. And he didn't. So my hats off to him for doing that."
Tonight's Monday Night RAW will give the WWE Universe more answers about who CM Punk chooses to target. It's quite interesting that these three men have given the bracelet a championship-worthy value within the squared circle.
