Cody Rhodes has a lot of enemies as the Undisputed WWE Champion, with many thinking that Randy Orton can be one of them soon. However, a familiar face might step up to challenge The American Nightmare next year instead.
Since Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022, one feud that many anticipate is against his former mentor and close friend Randy Orton. Teases about a feud became stronger when The American Nightmare became the Undisputed Champion, but The Viper was instead focused on Kevin Owens. While a feud between the former Legacy groupmates is still possible, Cody might have to worry about Seth Rollins.
At Bad Blood 2024, WrestleMania XL rivals Rhodes and Roman Reigns teamed up against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This decision wasn't received lightly by a couple of Rhodes' friends, among them is Kevin Owens. On the RAW after Bad Blood, The Visionary didn't shy away from commenting on the pairing of Roman and Cody. He even hinted at some disapproval.
Top WWE star blasted, compared to Winnie the Pooh RIGHT HERE
On this week's WWE RAW episode, Drew McIntyre attempted to recruit him in his cause of taking down The OG Bloodline. However, Seth Rollins refused and said that he already did that at WrestleMania XL, noting how Jey Uso and Sami Zayn were by his side when he did so. Interestingly, he left out Cody Rhodes, who was his tag team partner on Night One against The Rock and The Original Tribal Chief.
With this in mind, it seems like The Visionary still has resentment about Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns teaming up, which he can act on next year in line with the Undisputed Title.
For those unaware, Seth is a two-time WWE and Universal Champion, one-time World Heavyweight Champion, one-time NXT Champion, two-time Intercontinental and United States Champion, and a six-time RAW Tag Team Champion.
Is Cody Rhodes interested in facing Seth Rollins again after teaming up at WWE WrestleMania XL?
Cody and Seth are far from best friends, but teamed up at WrestleMania against The Bloodline, helping Rhodes finish his story. Still, The American Nightmare is interested in squaring up with Rollins again with a special stipulation.
While talking to Inside the Ropes in September, Cody shared that he would love to have another match with Seth Rollins, but was worried if fans would still want to see it after they already had a trilogy. The champion noted that his rival was a great in-ring wrestler and would want to face him in an Iron Man Match.
It will be interesting to see what is next for Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in WWE.
