As previously noted, AJ Lee's friend Big E is open to the former Divas Champion making her return to WWE.
When Lee left the company, she left a number of close friends behind. While she is still able to see these friends outside of the ring, it's not the same as traveling on the road with them all the time.

Lee could even just return as a one-off in order to be a part of the Women's Revolution. This would allow her to see her friends once again and spend some time doing what she loves.

Lee was part of the company for a number of years and worked with some of the biggest stars. Several of her closest friends are still working for WWE and a return would allow her to work with them once again.
It would also allow the WWE Universe to finally see AJ Lee vs. Bayley on the SmackDown brand.
