CM Punk made his surprise return to professional wrestling last week and chose AEW over WWE. The self-proclaimed Best in the World then went on to note that there were several reasons why he chose not to return to the promotion that made him famous.
AJ Lee would be a fantastic addition to the AEW Women's Division, which has been struggling to keep up with the men for the past two years. Lee was one of the women who started the revolution in WWE and could easily help push AEW's Women's Division forward.

Lee and Punk once worked together in WWE and it would be interesting to see the duo become a power couple in AEW as well. All Elite Wrestling is also much more likely to be able to work around Lee's commitments outside of the ring. This is why it would be much wiser for Lee to make a potential return to wrestling with AEW instead of WWE.
