His victory at WrestleMania would come at the expense of two superstars, who might never get another world title shot in WWE.
Daniel Bryan and Edge, both of whom came out of medically-enforced retirement to return to WWE, might not have a lot more to give in the ring. Bryan might not be a full-time star for much longer after WrestleMania, making this match his last hurrah in a main event world title scenario.

The potential of Roman Reigns losing the Universal Championship without getting pinned, along with this being the last chance for Edge and Daniel Bryan, suggests that The Tribal Chief should drop the title at The Grandest Stage of Them All. It keeps things fresh and allows Reigns to tell some different non-title stories for the time being.
However, as discussed earlier, Roman Reigns should be the one who ends the feud as Universal Champion. The best-case scenario is Edge pinning Bryan to win at WrestleMania 37, or vice-versa. Either man could have their final world title run for a few months, before ultimately dropping it back to The Tribal Chief.
