Shane McMahon and The Miz will challenge the reigning SmackDown Live tag team champions, The Bar, for the titles at the Royal Rumble PPV. It makes sense to have this team face off with the tag champs, given that Cesaro and Sheamus have feuded with each and every tag team on the blue brand.
The tag team of the Miz and Shane McMahon was formed on the Christmas special episode of SD Live, where the Prodigal Son accepted the A-Lister's proposal to form a tag team. Both Shane McMahon and the Miz had played a huge role in bringing the WWE World Cup trophy to SmackDown Live, and the Co-Besties are also being called the Best Tag Team in the World.

The chances of Shane O' Mac and The Miz winning the tag team championships are high, and here are the 2 reasons why they should win the SD Live tag team titles and 2 reasons why they should not.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1 Should win - WWE should try to maintain the World Cup's respect in the eyes of fans
The WWE World Cup was a debacle, and it would have been better if the creative team had not made any references to that tournament after it ended at Crown Jewel. However, the World Cup was used to form a tag team of Shane O' Mac and the Miz.
If the WWE wants to keep any respect for that tournament in the eyes of fans, then they should book the Best tag team in the World to win the SD Live tag team champions.
#2 Should win - Dysfunctional tag team champions are always fun to watch
Dysfunctional tag teams mean those tag teams where one superstar refuses to co-operate with the other, yet they manage to win tag team matches. This formula has been used by the WWE over the years, and they have been successful in creating magnificent tag teams on most ooccasions.
Even Shane McMahon and the Miz's opponents, Sheamus and Cesaro, were booked as a dysfunctional tag team. However, Cesaro later turned heel to co-operate with the Celtic Warrior, and the duo are currently ruling the tag team division of the WWE.
If the WWE wants to freshen things up on Tuesday nights, they should give the tag titles to Shane and the Miz, as this tag team will definitely inject some life into the stagnant division of the blue brand.
#1 Should not win - Shane McMahon is a part-timer
The basic reason why this tag team should not win the gold is that Shane McMahon is a part-timer, and the number of matches he has wrestled in since his return to the company have been very few.
Also, the Money has never stepped foot inside the ring on SmackDown Live, as he has wrestled on PPVs only.
There is no doubt that Shane McMahon is one of the most gifted superstars of all time, and despite his age, the Prodigal Son can still pull off some unimaginable moves in the ring.
Winning the SD Live tag team championships will only draw hatred towards this team, especially Shane McMahon, and so the WWE should not book the Best tag team in the World to win the titles at Royal Rumble.
#2 Should not win - The WWE Universe wants Shane McMahon vs The Miz at WrestleMania 35
While we all wanted to see the Miz as a face on WWE TV, the A-Lister has not been so successful as a face character on SmackDown Live. Maybe this tag team of Shane and the Miz can battle for the SD Live tag team championships 2 or 3 times, and on losing all the matches, the A-Lister would lose his patience and finally turn on Shane McMahon.
Shane O' Mac has wrestled with several SD Live Superstars on the Grandest Stage of 'em All, and so WWE could book the Miz as Shane's WrestleMania opponent for 2019. To make things interesting, the WWE could put the WWE World Cup trophy on the line, and have the two superstars fight for the trophy.
