Roman Reigns is set to face Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 35. This will be his first singles match since he returned from hiatus. McIntyre has been brutalizing every superstar who has crossed his path until now on Raw. The list of his victims includes Kurt Angle, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and Finn Balor. Roman Reigns seems to be the new target for the Scottish Psychopath.
Drew has attacked Reigns over the last few weeks and on each occasion, he ended the segment with a vicious claymore kick. Analyzing the current booking direction, it looks like both the superstars have a chance to win at the mega event. Roman losing at the event would do more good to him than bad. This could pave the platform for WWE to do the unthinkable and turn Reigns heel at the event. WWE might book him to lose his match against Drew earlier in the night, then book him to appear after the culmination of Universal Championship match.
WWE could book Seth Rollins to win the Universal Championship against the Beast Incarnate. Then at the end, Roman Reigns might come out to join his Sheid brother in the celebrations only to turn on him. Roman Reigns could viciously attack the new Universal Champion and stake his claim on the championship that he never lost.
The loss to Drew McIntyre earlier in the night and memories of Seth's Wrestlemania 31 heist might ignite the fire in Roman Reigns and drive him to turn heel at the event. If orchestrated perfectly Roman's heel turn has the potential to become one of the greatest moments in the history of WWE programming. It is a bit far fetched but given WWE's inclination these days to produce a fan-friendly product, it cannot be completely ruled out.
