Roman Reigns made his emphatic return to Monday Night RAW last night, and he informed the WWE Universe he is in remission now. Reigns announced that he will return to in-ring action to kick off RAW, and later in the night, he speared Drew McIntyre and delivered multiple Superman Punches to the top heels of RAW proving that the Big Dog was back in action once again.
This means that the Big Dog will be in the mix for WrestleMania 35. With Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar set to be the Universal Championship match scheduled for the big event, WWE Creative may book Roman in another marquee match-up.
Looking at the current situation in the WWE, here are the 2 superstars who should be Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent and 2 who should not -
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1 Should Be - Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose, as we all know, is leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35 and so, the WWE is reuniting the Shield (as Creative hinted on RAW) for one last time. They can have the Shield battle one last time together at Fastlane and after which they can kick off the WrestleMania feud between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Dean Ambrose will be the heel in this storyline and we all know how this thing will work. The ‘Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose’ feud is something the WWE Universe wants to watch, and this feud has never happened earlier.
So, this would be a fresh match-up heading into WrestleMania. Though we all know the likely winner, this match and this feud has the potential to blow the arena’s roof down.
#1 Should Not Be - Seth Rollins/Brock Lesnar
As mentioned ahead, WWE has locked Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar in as the main event of WrestleMania 35. This means that WWE Creative have to keep Roman Reigns from the main event picture at least until April 8.
However, Vince McMahon would try his best to include Roman in the Universal title picture heading into the Show of Shows, where Roman would enter the Universal Championship match because he had never lost the title. His Shield brother Seth Rollins would agree to share his opportunity making the main event of WrestleMania a triple threat match.
If the WWE Creative pulls off this move, the fans will turn their back on Roman Reigns again and will boo the WrestleMania main event once again. Roman Reigns can enter the Universal Championship picture after WrestleMania 35 but the Creative team should keep him away from the title until their grandest pay-per-view.
#2 Should Be - Daniel Bryan
In case WWE Creative is so desperate to have their golden boy in the main event picture, they can have him battle for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. New Day's member, Kofi Kingston is the favorite to lose at WWE Fastlane meaning that the blue brand will have no clear #1 contender.
After Fastlane, Roman Reigns can join SmackDown Live where he could become the #1 contender for the WWE Championship ahead of WrestleMania 35. Given the nuclear heat that Bryan receives from the WWE Universe, he can even help to put Reigns over with the crowd.
Roman Reigns can win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 and kick off a new era on Tuesday nights. This move can also help to increase the viewership of SmackDown going forward.
#2 Should Not Be - The Rock
It has rumored since long that The Rock will be Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent this year. However, the Rock has not appeared on WWE TV since long. In fact, this Monday he was backstage on RAW yet did not appear.

However, this match can always happen given that Reigns does not have a proper direction heading into WrestleMania. Also, Roman Reigns and the Rock both are a part of Reigns’ Hollywood debut movie ‘Hobbs and Shaw’. So, as a part of the movie’s promotion the WWE can book a match between the two cousins.
The WWE Universe may reject this idea as the Rock will lose to Reigns and looking the current situation in WWE, there is no need at all to bring the Rock back just to lose a match to Roman Reigns.
