At the 2024 NXT Heatwave, Ethan Page walked home victorious as he defeated Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears to win his first title in the Stamford-based promotion. Page's victory received positive reviews on social media, and many expressed excitement about seeing his championship reign.
While times are indeed good for Ethan Page, he might have to watch his back as a 2-time TNA Champion could crossover to NXT and confront him. This two-time champion's potential confrontation could also lead to a match between the two. The TNA Superstar in question is Josh Alexander.
For those unaware, Ethan Page and Alexander are former tag team partners, and the latter was also backstage at Money in the Bank. Further, when Page entered the arena at Heatwave, he passed by a flag on the wall - We The North. Page smirked as he walked past the flag.
This was another interesting detail, as Page and Alexander's tag team was called The North. All these reasons, mixed with the good working relationship between WWE and TNA, increase the possibility of Josh Alexander crossing over to the Stamford-based promotion and confronting his former tag team partner.
WWE Legend congratulated Ethan Page for winning the NXT Championship
Ethan Page has competed in many different promotions apart from WWE. Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling are a few of the many promotions where Page made a name for himself. However, his NXT Championship victory at Heatwave will arguably be one of the biggest moments in his career.
While several people congratulated Page on social media, WWE legend Matt Hardy wrote a heartwarming note to the NXT Champion. On X (fka Twitter), Hardy wrote he was thrilled to see Page winning and also mentioned he had a wonderful time working with him.
Matt Hardy wrote:
"HELL YEAH! Thrilled that @OfficialEGO has won the @WWENXT Title. Loved working with Ethan, we’re like minded. I recognized immediately he was extremely talented. Me, him & Zay had the best time working together & the in-arena audiences embraced us. Congrats, Ethan! See ya Soon!"

Matt and Jeff Hardy have recently been making appearances in TNA. It will be interesting to see if they come to WWE for a final run before they decide to hang up their boots. Until then, all eyes will be on what Ethan Page has to say when he appears on the upcoming NXT episode as champion.
