On September 17, 2024, WWE announced the revival of Saturday Night's Main Event. The last time the show took place was in 2008. This year, the event will take place on December 14 in Long Island, New York. Like most of its previous editions, the broadcast will be available on NBC.
Following this announcement, several people expressed their excitement and were looking forward to seeing whether any big superstars would make their WWE return. While nothing is confirmed yet, there is a chance that two-time world champion Matt Cardona could return to the Stamford-based promotion.
After the official X handle of WWE posted about the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, Cardona reposted the tweet with an eye emoji. While he did not say anything, the pervy eye emoji speaks for itself, and it could be linked to his potential WWE return.
Cardona, a two-time world champion (1x GCW World Champion; 1x NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion), performed in WWE between 2005 and 2020. During his time with the Stamford-based promotion, Cardona was most popular for being Zack Ryder.

Cardona had his WrestleMania moment when he climbed up the ladder at WrestleMania 32 to win the Intercontinental Championship. Since leaving WWE in 2020, he has wrestled in various independent promotions, and it will be interesting to see whether he returns to the global juggernaut.
