#1 Succeeded: Dean Ambrose

Although Roman Reigns was originally Seth Rollins’ tag team partner when The Shield debuted on the main roster, Dean Ambrose had more success than “The Big Dog” when he teamed with “The Beastlayer”.

Along with Reigns, the team of Rollins & Ambrose defeated trios including Team Hell No & Ryback, The Wyatt Family and Evolution during their initial 19-month run together as The Shield.

However, as Rollins & Reigns was the dominant trio’s go-to tag-team combination from 2012-14, it was not until they reunited in the summer of 2017 that Rollins & Ambrose began to show what they could do as a duo.

The former WWE champions won the Raw Tag Team Championship on two occasions, defeating Sheamus & Cesaro in August 2017 and Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre in October 2018.

Overall, Rollins & Ambrose joined forces 102 times on WWE television, winning 66 times (64.7 percent win ratio), losing 31 times and drawing the other five.
