He was dumbfounded and thought that he had made a huge mistake, when it occurred to him that he had to say the exact words that were written in the script.
#3 It got awkward for him in the end
Moxley felt a sense of awkwardness during his final days in WWE. The higher-ups were making him go out there and bid goodbye to the fans, on several occasions.
He found it strange because he already knew that he was AEW bound, but no one else knew, so he didn't exactly know what to say to the fans. In one such segment, he put his head over Reigns' shoulder and said, "This is getting awkward, dude."

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
