Footage was shown of the official contract signing between Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander. Drake Maverick started things off, stating that he's proud of the two men for representing the 205 brand at Summerslam.
Gulak took time to compliment Cedric on his dominant reign and undefeated streak throughout 2018 but asked what the champ has done since winning the title at WrestleMania. Gulak went on to say that, whenever the title isn't on the line, he didn't wrestle, adding that Cedric will be known as the Brock Lesnar of 205 Live.

Lio Rush vs Ricky Martinez (Local Talent)
Before the match began, Lio Rush told the WWE Universe that, while he was tempted to give Akira Tozawa a rematch, he had already found an opponent for this week, and couldn't turn him down after getting his hopes up for a match.
Ricky Martinez wasn't caught off-guard by Lio Rush's speed at first, countering the M.O.T.H.'s attacks with his own unique reversals. However, it didn't take long for Rush to turn things up a notch, outmanoeuvring Martinez, forcing him outside the ring with some devastating kicks. He then pulled a move out of Tozawa's playbook, launching himself like a bullet through the ropes for a suicide dive.
Rush then threw Martinez back inside, laying him out with a few more kicks before hitting his Frog Splash for the victory.
