WWE stars exiting the company is not uncommon and several have already happened in the past few months, more could be happening soon with Tamina Snuka, Bobby Lashley, and MVP. Interestingly, this might also mean the return of one of them to in-ring action.
The veteran in question is MVP, who began wrestling in 2002. His latest match occurred on July 18, 2022, on an episode of RAW where he teamed with Omos against The Street Profits. Nowadays, he only makes sporadic appearances on television as the manager of The Nigerian Giant. It was recently rumored that his WWE contract is expiring and there is belief that he would be exiting the company following this, along with Bobby Lashley.
Amidst his likely WWE exit, the former United States Champion teased an in-ring return by sharing a photo of his wrestling boots and stated that he "dusted" them off. Since the veteran isn't retired anyway, his possible exit from the Stamford-based promotion could be his way of returning to the ring.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
After reports stating MVP and Bobby were removed from the internal roster, Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Radio reported that they could be AEW-bound and reform The Hurt Business along with Shelton Benjamin.
Since the former United States Champion has requested Triple H to reunite the group but wasn't granted, it's possible he could reform The Hurt Business in All Elite Wrestling and aside from managing the group, become an in-ring talent.
What did MVP say after rumors of a possible WWE exit?
Although nothing is confirmed yet about Montel Vontavious Porter's WWE status, his recent messages hinted that he may be leaving the Stamford-based promotion soon.
In an Instagram video with his son, the 50-year-old updated fans that he was in Houston with his son and that they were in the best spirits. He added that he loved his fans and to not worry about him as he was doing fine.
"It is a lovely Sunday. I'm here with my little dude, we are at Fury Fighting Championships in Houston. You having fun? So am I. I am in the best of spirits, I love all of you, don't worry about me. I'm just fine."
Not long after, he posted a quote from legendary author Paulo Coelho stating that if a person is brave enough to bid goodbye, they will be rewarded with a new hello.
It remains to be seen what will happen next to the former United States Champion.
