WWE Friday Night SmackDown last night featured a very interesting segment. Bianca Belair was shown backstage, but that wasn't the bit that caught the eyes of the fans.
Instead, what caught their eye was Dominik Mysterio of WWE RAW talking to Nick Aldis. With news of a trade window opening up, some wonder if he's looking to move brands. In an interesting twist, it might instead be Dirty Dom trying to force Finn Balor to leave Monday Night RAW.
The 23-year veteran is part of The Judgment Day alongside Dirty Dom, but Balor is clearly trying to lead the stable, where there was supposed to be no leader. He and Mysterio have had back-and-forth disagreements that could have turned into full-blown fights. It is easy to see why Dominik would want to get Finn Balor away from not only the stable but also the red brand.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
Balor is a 23-year veteran, having started his wrestling career in 2001. He has been with WWE for nearly a decade now. As a result, it is easy to see why he might try to take the lead role, but his bad attitude has seemingly been turning people away.
Getting him to give up The Judgment Day might not be possible, but forcing his hand could be. If Dominik convinces Aldis to trade Balor, but not the rest of the group, it could save Mysterio a major headache. However, this angle is only speculation and only time will tell what ultimately happens.
The rest of The Judgment Day could remain on WWE RAW without the tension
If Finn Balor leaves WWE Monday Night RAW, it could prove to benefit not only Dominik Mysterio but also the remainder of the stable, with the possible exception of one member.
For starters, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez seem to be fully on Dom's side. As a result, they are almost certainly as frustrated with Balor as he is. As for Carlito, he tends to go with the flow, but he likes to avoid drama, and Finn brings a lot of it.
The only person in the stable who might not inherently love Balor leaving would be JD McDonagh. The Prince is McDonagh's mentor and tag team partner, with them currently holding the World Tag Team Championship together. With that being said, even The Irish Ace would likely acknowledge the issues the 43-year-old has been causing as of late on WWE RAW.
While The Judgment Day still has power on RAW, it is clear that the constant in-fighting is weighing the group down. If the source of their issues were to be moved to SmackDown, it could allow the stable to focus and become even more successful.
