#9 Philippines - TJ Perkins

TJ Perkins is one of the only South East Asian superstars in WWE.

Again, TJ Perkins is American by birth. But WWE has had him represent Philippines in the Cruiserweight Classic. He was a very successful independent wrestler and had success in TNA as well. He was finally picked up by WWE in 2016.

TJP performed in the Cruiserweight Classic and surprisingly won the inaugural edition of the tournament defeating Gran Metalik in the grand finals. He became the inaugural Cruiserweight Champion by doing so and became the Cruiserweight Division's first champion on Raw. But he would fade into obscurity once he lost the title.

A participation in the World Cup can rejuvenate his career as he can play off of the fact that he has won a big tournament before.
