LA Knight is in action this Friday night on WWE SmackDown when he faces Logan Paul and Santos Escobar in a Triple-Threat match. The trio will battle it out for a place in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match at Money in the Bank, scheduled to be held on July 6.

However, The Megastar is at loggerheads with the United States Champion heading into Friday's match. The pair look to be on a collision course for the title, and The Maverick may have something up his sleeve. He might order Carmelo Hayes to attack Paul to ensure he's unable to compete in the qualifying match.

LA Knight and Carmelo Hayes have had issues lately, particularly exchanging words in backstage interviews. Logan Paul may see this as an opportunity to prevent his arch-rival from competing in the MITB qualifying Triple-Threat match. The 41-year-old could be attacked by 'HIM' backstage, leaving him unable to compete.

This could result in Knight and Hayes clashing in a singles match ahead of SummerSlam. It will allow the former to pick up a big victory ahead of a potential United States Championship match against Paul at SummerSlam 2024.

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could book that match after it's revealed that Hayes attacked Knight under Paul's orders. The former NXT Champion could become the champion's lackey for the time being.

"I'm coming" - LA Knight's confident vow to take everything Logan Paul loves starting on WWE SmackDown

LA Knight has set his sights on winning championship gold amid his Money in the Bank qualifier on WWE SmackDown. He's confident of beating Logan Paul and Santos Escobar, heading to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and grabbing the briefcase.

However, Knight isn't done there yet, as he's targeting Paul's United States Championship. He told Byron Saxton on the SmackDown LowDown:

"I beat you (this Friday), I go to Money in the Bank, I get the case, and then I’m coming for you, and then that US Title, everything that I want, everything that you love, then becomes mine."

LA Knight has not won a singles title on the main roster since debuting in 2022. He held the Million Dollar Championship during his run in WWE NXT, and fans are rooting for him to dethrone Logan Paul.

The Maverick has held the United States Championship since November when he beat Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023. He's only defended the title twice, beating Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble and Owens and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat bout at WrestleMania XL.
