The Miz and Daniel Bryan were already feuding with each other, but their feud temporarily ended at the WWE Super Show-Down where Bryan defeated the latter in a quick match.

Adding The Miz into the match also makes sense as we all know The Miz and Bryan's feud was not finished yet. Even though Miz is already in the World Cup tournament, he could still face Styles for the WWE Championship.

How this match could have been booked: Let's assume that The Miz and Daniel Bryan had a confrontation earlier in the show where Bryan would make fun of Miz in some way.

Later, Bryan would confront AJ Styles but then, all of a sudden, The Miz will start hitting Bryan with the chair shots from behind. He would also hit Styles to make this segment look much more realistic.

Miz would then went on to challenge Bryan to face him in a match with a stipulation that if he loses, he will be pulled from his Crown Jewel match. Now, The Miz would defeat him and become the new number one contender for the WWE Championship.

This one seems very unrealistic, but as I said earlier, one single episode is not enough to build a great story.
