Nick Aldis has big shoes to fill for this week's WWE SmackDown after a historic Monday Night RAW. However, with what's happening with the brand in the past few weeks, this may not be a problem for the general manager.
Last week's WWE SmackDown saw Cody Rhodes somewhat double-teamed by Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre, #DIY vs. Motor City Machine Guns ending in a No-Contest after Pretty Deadly's interference, Nia Jax retaining the WWE Women's Championship against Naomi only to be cashed in on by Tiffany Stratton, and the new Bloodline defeating the OG Bloodline. Follow-up regarding these moments can happen this week, and interestingly, moments from this week's RAW can have major effects on the Friday show.
For this list, we will look at three announcements Nick Aldis can make on WWE SmackDown this week.

#3. Transfer Window to take effect this week on WWE SmackDown
As announced in December 2024, WWE will have a transfer window across all three brands. Several RAW stars have already appeared on the Friday show in the past few weeks and vice versa. Tonight, official announcements can be made.
On this week's Monday show, Bayley was seen talking with Adam Pearce and has likely already made a deal to transfer to the red brand. For the upcoming WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis can make his own deals and announce that the brand has gained a new signee.
Stars like Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn can confirm that they have transferred since most of their storylines now are Bloodline-related.
#2. Major match to be announced for WWE Royal Rumble 2025
Royal Rumble 2025 will be the first premium live event of the company this year and will officially mark the start of Road to WrestleMania. As of writing, only the titular Men and Women's Rumble matches and Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens in a Ladder match for the Undisputed Championship have been announced, but that can change soon.
As mentioned above, Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract last week, but it's hard to imagine Jax moving on. A brawl can ensue between both women, resulting in Aldis making a title match official on February 1.
#1. #DIY to defend the Tag Team Championship against several stars
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have caused chaos on the Friday show's roster as the Tag Team Champions, but also due to the recent attitude change. However, they also made a deal with certain names to ensure they wouldn't be dethroned, which can quickly backfire.
After what happened last week, Motor City Machine Guns can demand another tag team match, only to be interrupted by Pretty Deadly, who was promised a title shot by the champions. However, Los Garza can also demand that since Kit Wilson and Elton Prince will have a shot, they should have one, leading to Nick deciding a Fatal-Four-way match for the titles at Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25.
